Princípios de ordem fixa de expressões congeladas em espanhol: um estudo experimental

Existen algunas expresiones idiomáticas en español que son conocidas como “freezes” (expresiones congeladas) y que se caracterizan por tener un orden fijo. Por ejemplo: vivo o muerto (*muerto o vivo), colorín colorado (*colorado colorín). El orden de estas expresiones está determinado por principios semánticos y fonológicos. Se hizo una recopilación de expresiones congeladas en español y se llevó a cabo un estudio experimental sobre estas expresiones (2000) para comprobar si los hablantes tienden a seguir ciertos principios fonológicos propuestos por Cooper y Ross (1975). Los resultados revelaron que los hablantes muestran una clara tendencia hacia tres principios: la ley de Pānini, la cualidad de la vocal y el número de consonantes iniciales. En cuanto al cuarto principio, la obstrucción de la consonante inicial, parece ser que no rige en español, pues dos de los tres grupos de informantes no mostraron una tendencia a seguir este principio.
