Abstract

This article focuses its analysis on Tião Carreiro e Pardinho's "modas de viola", with the bull as principal subject. The objective is rebuilding the general narrative of these songs in order to understand the migrant tensions and dilemmas due to the social changes and Brazilian rural exodus. The hypothesis is that the bull, in these songs, could be understood as symbolic representation of the migrant is destiny in his new social context: the city.
