The Apprentice Pilot and the Master Engineer: the Motoring School in Days of Thunder and Cars

The purpose of the review is to present two movies about motoring school through the relationship between a master and an apprentice, one a blockbuster film (Days of Thunder, 1990, Tony Scott) and the other an animation focused in children's audience (Cars, 2006, John Lasseter). The main idea is to show how sports learning, in this case the motor racing, is mediated by cinema through the idea of an education grounded in the figure of an apprentice and a master, building a sports imagery close to those constructed by the wonderful narratives.
