Abstract

The article analyses different aspects of translation in the richest period of literary translation in Germany through a huge variety of historic citations of authors who either commented reception of translated literature or worked as translators themselves in the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th Century, such as Schiller, Goethe, Schlegel and others.
